Privacy and data use for yukt.tools utilities
yukt.tools is built for quick, ad-free utility work. This page explains what happens when you use the tools, especially for API-backed and sensitive workflows.
Tool input
Some tools run entirely in the browser and some send input to yukt.tools API routes to calculate a result. Input sent to an API route is used to produce that response. yukt.tools does not require accounts and does not intentionally build user profiles from pasted utility input.
Sensitive workflows
Do not paste passwords, private keys, tax documents, client records, or other secrets unless you are comfortable sending that data through the browser and, for API-backed tools, to the server for processing. The Canadian tax calculator is educational and is not tax, legal, accounting, or filing advice.
Logs and diagnostics
Hosting, security, and application infrastructure may log request metadata such as time, URL path, IP address, user agent, status code, and error details. These logs are used to operate, debug, secure, and improve the site.
Browser storage
The site may use local browser storage for interface preferences, such as theme and pinned mobile navigation. These preferences stay in your browser unless you clear them or your browser syncs them through its own settings.
Ads, selling data, and accounts
yukt.tools is designed to be ad-free. We do not sell personal information and we do not require user accounts to use the public tools.
Third parties
External source links, documentation links, and future infrastructure providers have their own privacy practices. When you leave yukt.tools, the destination site controls its own data handling.
